Beacon Blend

Hosted  Walking Tour

Some Sites on the Way

Taking you through the happening of Beacon blending stories of the past with the current culture of this small city. We'll step you through this movement of revitalizing old factories scattered across this twin city turned eclectic, hip Beacon! Share stories as noble as a Kennedy or George Washington and as simple as a factory worker while showing off some quirky remnants of this past factory town.

This guided walk is 2-hours and 15-minutes and starts in front of the Head mural on the corner of North Chestnut Street and Main Street. We end the tour with plenty of boutiques and eateries to complete your day with lunch and shopping. Here your guide will introduce you to what Beacon was and take you through how this manufacturing town turned into a thriving, picturesque, destination location for day trips and long weekends.

We begin in front of this mural, shown above, on the corner of 314 Main Street and North Chestnut Street in Beacon.
This location is very significant to this great explosion of art and culture happening in this cool city. We'll make our way down Main Street popping in and out of shops, art galleries, historic sites, and even the post office to tell this great story of an old factory town turned "Medici Effect". Along the way your guide will point out some iconic spots made for T.V. and Hollywood movies while showing you some unique architectural elements of this small city.
You'll have views of Mount Beacon as we make our way to East Main Street. This is a two-hour and fifteen-minute walking tour with mostly flat terrain. You’ll enjoy the tour more by wearing comfortable shoes and attire and bringing sunscreen, umbrella, sunglasses, and insect repellent.
